The American Association for Justice's 2018 Winter Convention will be held in Maui at the Grand Wailea Resort & Spa, and the Marriott Wailea. Both hotels are located on the southwest shore of Maui on Wailea Beach.

Registration will take place in the Haleakala Foyer, outside of Haleakala Ballroom 2. The registration hours are as follows:

Friday, February 2nd:  2:00 pm–5:00 pm
Saturday, February 3rd  7:30 am–6:00 pm
Sunday, February 4th  7:30 am–3:00 pm
Monday, February 5th  7:30 am–3:00 pm
Tuesday, February 6th  7:30 am–3:00 pm
The Exhibit Hall is located in the Haleakala Foyer and Haleakala Ballroom 1. The hours are as follows:

Saturday, February 3:  7:30 am – 1:30 pm
Sunday, February 4:  7:30 am – 1:30 pm
Monday, February 5:  7:30 am – 1:30 pm

Attending an AAJ Convention is an exclusive benefit provided only to the following AAJ member types and their guests:

Regular, Sustaining, President's Club, Life, Paralegal Affiliates, Government, military, Retired, Law Students, Law Graduates, and Law Professors. Judges, as well as State and Provincial Trial Lawyer Association Directors and their Staff are welcome.

No, you must register first for convention to receive the hotel link. Once registered, the link will be included in your confirmation email. To register for convention, please click here.

Upon check-in, you will receive a packet that includes CLE forms and instructions on filling them out. Please return them to the AAJ booth before you leave the convention. If you did not get a chance to do so before leaving, please email or fax them to AAJ.

The app for convention will be available for download approximately one week prior to the start of convention. You will receive an email prior, containing download instructions and your login and password to access the app.

Registrations will be taken all the way through the end of convention on February 6th. Registrations by phone and fax will be taken until Friday, January 26, 2018. After January 26th, you can register online or onsite beginning Friday, February 2nd at 2:00 pm in the Exhibit Hall.

Yes! The person must be a member of AAJ and an eligible member type to attend convention. Please email conventioncancellation@justice.org and be sure to include the new registrants name and contact information.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to AAJ at conventioncancellation@justice.org. Cancellations received in writing by December 8, 2017 will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations received between December 9, 2017 and January 5, 2018 will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. After January 5, 2018, requests for refunds will not be honored. Refunds will be processed within 3 weeks after receipt of cancellation notice.

No, you must cancel your hotel reservation with the hotel directly.

Child care is available and provided through the Grand Wailea Resort & Spa for children ages 5 – 12 years old. Accommodations for teenagers are available on request. Reservations need to be made 24 hours in advance to ensure adequate coverage. Reservations can be made in person, by phone (855-875-1234 ext. 4555), or by emailing gwcampgrande@waldorfastoria.com. Proper business attire is required at all AAJ functions during the convention.

The Marriott Wailea is less than a 15 minute walk along a beach path to the Grand Wailea. Shuttle Bus service to the Grand Wailea will also be during all AAJ sponsored events.

Yes, a shuttle bus will be run in a loop from the Grand Wailea to the following properties: Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, Four Seasons Resort Maui, Residence Inn Maui Wailea, and the Wailea Beach Resort – Marriot.

The preferred airport, Kahului Airport (OGG), is approximately 35 minutes away. Cab fare is estimated to be $60 one way.

Yes! Valet parking is $30.00 a day at the Grand Wailea, no self-parking is available. Valet parking at the Marriott Wailea is $25.00 a day. Self-parking is available at the Resident Inn Marriott for $20 a day.

Yes! Wifi will be available at the both the Grand Wailea and the Marriott. The network name and password will be available to members onsite
